Area Law Enforcement
Roughly 50 automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Cars, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a release.
Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.
The liquid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they stated.
Law enforcement then discovered numerous other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.
Law enforcement state preliminary tests suggest the liquid was probably blood from a person.
"At present there remains no clue as to its source; authorities are currently not cognizant of any injuries in relation with the event," they commented.
Local authorities announced they were working "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the residents for details.
A high-ranking political figure commented the vandalism left him speechless and required to be addressed quickly.
"This act affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the killing of nine people by a gunman focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
